Mindful Relaxation

Mindful Relaxation: Cultivating Inner Peace in an Eight-Week Class

Mindful relaxation is more than just taking a break; it's about intentionally slowing down, becoming present in the moment, and nurturing a deep sense of calm within yourself. In this class, you will learn practical techniques and mindfulness practices to reduce stress, promote relaxation, and enhance overall well-being.

Throughout the eight weeks, you will explore various mindfulness exercises, guided meditations, and gentle movement practices aimed at soothing the body and calming the mind. From progressive muscle relaxation to mindful breathing techniques, each session will offer you valuable tools to incorporate into your daily life.

In addition to the practical skills, this class will also provide opportunities for self-reflection and group discussion. You'll have the chance to explore your unique stress triggers, patterns of tension, and ways to cultivate greater resilience in the face of life's challenges.

Whether you're new to mindfulness or seeking to deepen your practice, this class welcomes individuals of all levels. By the end of the eight weeks, you can expect to feel more grounded, centered, and equipped with a toolbox of mindfulness practices to support you in navigating life with greater ease and grace.

The course will be deeply rooted in my fourteen years of sitting with my own teacher – a Tibetan Buddhist Lama – in his home several days a week. With his encouragement, I am now offering the same to our community.
